INTERMEDIATE TECHNICAL ANALYST
FIELD TECHNICAL SERVICES - DESKTOP SUPPORT
You are a customer-focused team player, responsible for providing quality customer service. You follow best practice Service Management methodologies, in order to support, maintain and operate the end-user and field services technologies. You have a proven commitment to quality and the ability to effectively establish on-going working relationships with team members and customers at all levels, while achieving a high level of customer satisfaction through assessing needs, establishing goals and resolving technical issues.
You are responsible for creating, maintaining and administering computing device images, and software installations and configurations. You are experienced with using system management tools to deploy software packages to remote locations, and accessing devices remotely for support purposes. You work closely with IT personnel to provide for their users' requirements including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
You perform preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, repair and pro-actively resolve issues through an appropriate analysis methodology. You provide a stable and efficient environment for applications and devices, ensuring they interface with existing systems; adapting, integrating, testing, documenting and maintaining these systems.
You have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Systems or an IT related discipline, from a recognized college or technical school. You have experience building, maintaining and providing support for Windows desktop environments, maintaining and supporting Active Directory, Group Policy and DFS Desktop structures. In addition, you have experience working on a variety of assignments in a technical/analytic role, providing end user support in an Information Technology organization, with experience installing and maintaining end-user device configurations.
Additional experience in the following areas would be an asset: providing technical expertise in the development of the patch management process; configuring applications to interface with existing end-user applications, testing, documenting, and maintaining them; and conducting routine hardware, software and security audits with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures.
